November 28, 2014...I jumped out of bed, pulled up Bonnie Hunter's blog and there it was! The first clue! Grabbing my easy angle ruler and my rotary cutter, I began following her every step! I'm so excited! This is my first mystery quilt! Each Friday, a new clue will be released. Stay tuned for more pictures and progress! http://quiltville.blogspot.com/2014/12/mystery-monday-link-up-part-1.html

Living back in the states and loving quilting!
I looked at my last post and could not believe how much time has pasted....almost two years!
We are back living stateside and loving every bit of it! Access to bead store, fabric stores and ample parking makes me a happy woman!
The first week we moved here, I found a quilt shop and I've been in LOVE ever since! There is so much to do and not enough hours in the day to make all the things out of fabric I want to make! I am like a kid in a candy store! Over the last year, I've made several quilts, pillows and wall hangings. I'm learning to machine quilt, have had the pleasure to use a long arm quilting machine and this month will do my first ever Mystery Quilt with Bonnie Hunter from www.quiltville.com It starts
November 28, 2014. Check out her awesome blog and color combinations she picked while visiting The Grand Hotel on Mackinaw Island in Michigan! This is going to be FUN!!!
I'm vowing to update this blog! Pictures to follow!

December, no snow
We don't get snow here, how do I get into the holiday season without cold weather for this northern girl?
In case you haven't heard, Songbirds is having a bracelet giveaway. Details on blog. Check out her site!
I am excited about the Christmas Tree Challenge for the reveal tomorrow on Bead Soup Cafe. I have been making bracelets like crazy using many different beads and findings. The person with the most likes will win! This is my first challenge I have entered so I doubly excited but I know I am up against people that have been making bracelets for many years!
I took one of my bracelets to the local bead store to show them. They were very excited about it and also very complimentary as it was my first time beading with the tiny sead beads and putting it onto satin cording! It did take me a very long time to make it...like all day long!
I have also been making other bracelets to show you here and have them posted on my facebook page Something Heartfelt by Nancy. Stop by, check out my page and if you don't mind "LIKE" my page while you are there. I am pretty new at this.

Time, nothing but time...
I am retired, have nothing but time, on this Island that has a lot to offer but I am down. I have time on my hands but no one to share that time with. I am surrounded by people that do not speak English. I am taking Spanish classes to try to fit in here but it is hard. To fill in my time, I am making bracelets and getting ready to add to that lampworking and copper tooling. Wish me luck? I am so lonely...

Bracelets
These four were special order. My work in so lacking compared to all the beautiful bracelets I see posted in the Bead Soup. I should take a course but just do not have the time yet to do that.

New Bracelets and Some Color Inspiration
Roofing Copper
I just got some roofing copper and I am willing to share. If I share, I need someone to help me with what I need to work with it and what to do with it! He sent several sizes and told me he will send me more.
