New Grandson!

So Hubby decided we needed to take a Caribbean cruise and while we were in St Kitts, our first Grandson was born alittle earlier than expected!  We are no planning to head back to the states to see our first Grandson in Charlotte.  I am so excited to meet our new Grandson AND have access to BEAD STORES!!!!!!!

Feeling Left Out

It is so nice to go to Bead Soup and see all the wonderful packages. I found them too late to get into the swap.  I must admit I am jealous of seeing all the wonderful, creative packages. Hopefully I can get into the next one and join in with all the fun.

Offering Copper Patina

I have a friend that does roofing and he mentioned to me that he gets a lot of copper that he turns in for recycling when they remove flashing from a roof.  He offered me sheets of the copper which has patina.  My question is: Ideas on what I can do with roofing copper that has patina? It seems there must be something that I can do with it?  If you help me, I can send you some?

Wishing....

I am finding all these bead blogs and mutifiber blogs and I am wishing I had someone close by here that shares the same passion that I do about making things.  I am like a sponge, wanting to learn more and more.  I would love to learn to work with metal and copper, I would love to work with polymer clay and glass.  I have nothing but time on my hands now being retired.  Everything I have learned this far has been thru tutorials...videos and books. 

Oh my wish is to find someone to mentor me and go along this journey with me.....

Caribbean colors and cliffs

 Good Morning!  It was a day of trying to match the colors of my surroundings with my beads and thread!  I am very pleased with how it came out and the view is hard to beat!

A Brand New Day!

It's a beautiful day here in sunny Puerto Rico!  Perfect for laying in the hammock and working on a summer bracelet for a friend in England!
I am so excited! I just purchased an insomnia bead and should have it in the next few days. I am already thinking in my mind what to put together with my new focal bead!

Discovering a New Bead Store!

This morning it was a dreary steady rain (which we needed here in PR). After an MD appt, my DH suggested he show me something he found around the corner.  Much to my delight, 2 hr later and after spending over a $100, I was beaming from ear to ear!  Beads and findings OH MY!  I was a child in the "penny candy shop" again!  I picked up several focal pieces to add to my ever increasing stash, jump rings, lapis, pearls, palm beads, turtugos and black agate beads.  I can hardly wait to get them started!
